If your are looking to upgrade your vehicles 3157 or 7443 turn signal lights, parking lights, or brake light bulbs with JDM ASTAR,it is required to distinguish what TYPE of SOCKET your car has. There are 2 types sockets, Standard and CK. There is only one way to know for sure which socket your car has, TEST IT. We put several pictures for your reference.
You may ask what is the difference between the Standard and CK style sockets? The only difference is at the position of the ground contacts in the socket. They look identical. What will happen if I use the wrong type of LED, i.e. A standard LED in a CK socket? The LEDs will not work properly or burn the fuses,or will be burn in several days, they will blow your fuses that protect that specific lighting circuit.
So how to know which type socket is standard or CK type? From the below pictures, you will see the ground & ground contacts are at the opposite sides,that is standard type,but if they are on the same side, that is standard type. Pls buy the correct types of the 3157/7443 series led bulbs for your car.
3157 series including the bulb size fitment: 3157 3157A 3057 3155 3157NA 3357 3457 3457A 4057 4114 4157 3457A 4157NA,etc.
7443 series includes: 7443 7444 992 7444NA,etc.
Please note: Single element sockets i.e. 3156 and 7440 can be CK style as well. Please test and identify your sockets BEFORE you purchase your new JDM ASTAR led bulbs.
